Ingetec’s mission is to act within natural environments to restore them, within cities and territories to strengthen their resilience, and on infrastructures and roads to enhance their durability.
Ingetec is a territorial planning consultancy established in 1992 to provide pragmatic solutions to the environmental challenges faced by local authorities.
As a human-scale firm, Ingetec has developed expertise in water, mobility, environment, and asset management. Its mission is to restore natural environments, strengthen the resilience of cities and territories, and enhance the durability of infrastructures and roads.
In close collaboration with project owners, Ingetec’s role is to integrate technical, administrative, financial, and environmental aspects in order to design high-quality, low-carbon infrastructures.

Supporting local authorities since 1992
Ingetec was founded in 1992 in Normandy by an engineer from the Departmental Directorate of Equipment, a former branch of the French Ministry for the Ecological and Inclusive Transition. Initially a design office specialized in road infrastructures, Ingetec quickly expanded into the fields of environment, hydraulics, urban planning, and transport.
In 2007, Ingetec established a subsidiary with the creation of the independent entity For&tec, an engineering company specializing in underground cavities. Gilles Wayere, who had joined Ingetec in 1993, took over its leadership.
At the same time, Nicolas Bauduffe became the head of Ingetec in 2009. Under the impetus of Nicolas and his strengthened team, the Normandy-based company expanded both its areas of activity and its geographic presence. A first office was opened in Paris, followed by Bordeaux, Lyon, and eventually La Réunion and Mayotte. In parallel, Ingetec consolidated its expertise by structuring around three intervention areas and four fields of expertise, enabling it to respond to challenges across all environments.
From around twenty employees in the early 2000s, the company has steadily grown to more than 80 professionals today, with the capacity to operate throughout mainland France and the overseas territories. This growth has consistently been driven by a strong commitment to working hand in hand with local authorities to best meet their needs.
Since its creation, Ingetec has been deeply attentive to environmental issues. Today, the company is opening a new chapter in its history with the ambition of becoming a mission-driven company.
