Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility at Ingetec

At Ingetec, we are committed to building a sustainable future that respects all living systems, integrates environmental concerns, and addresses the needs of territories and their communities — while preserving natural resources, strengthening our social impact, ensuring transparent governance, and promoting responsible practices with our partners.

Our environmental and social commitment: a structured approach to anticipating future challenges

At Ingetec, living systems and environmental protection are at the core of our values. It is therefore natural for us to assess our own environmental and societal impact in order to:

  • Address the growing concerns of our clients and partners on these issues

  • Make these topics the foundations of our company’s development

This reflection led us to voluntarily adopt a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach in 2024. The next step: aiming for even higher standards by becoming a mission-driven company.

A voluntary approach aligned with ISO 26000 – the international benchmark for CSR

European and French regulations on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are becoming increasingly stringent and now apply to various categories of companies—including some of our partners—based on their size and revenue.

However, these regulations also allow companies not directly subject to these requirements to engage in a voluntary CSR approach—which is precisely what Ingetec has chosen to do.

ISO 26000 is an international standard that provides guidelines on social responsibility. Its aim is to help organizations move toward more sustainable and responsible management, by considering not only their internal operations but also their interactions with the wider world, including partners and clients.

Assessing Ingetec’s activities through the lens of ISO 26000

In line with the ISO standard, we evaluated Ingetec’s operations based on the seven core areas of corporate social responsibility:

  • Governance

  • Respect for human rights

  • Labour relations and working conditions

  • Business ethics

  • Environmental responsibility

  • Client relations

  • Local and regional development

We conducted an internal audit, which was then compared with feedback gathered from our clients and external partners. This external assessment provided valuable insights and helped us better define Ingetec’s identity as an ethical, reliable, agile, and transparent company, committed to environmental stewardship and the protection of human rights.

This process gave us a clearer understanding of the societal impact of our activities and enabled us to define an action plan through 2027, embedding Ingetec in a path toward more responsible development.

Here are the key areas of our commitment:

  • Environment: assess and reduce our footprint through a carbon audit, raise awareness among employees about climate challenges, and promote nature-based solutions that help preserve biodiversity and support the sustainable management of ecosystems, in line with our territorial planning expertise.

  • Social: monitor and improve our Gender Equality Index to ensure fair opportunities for all, include employees in strategic decision-making, and strengthen our employer brand.

  • Ethical governance and transparency: formalize a CSR committee made up of staff and leadership, draft an anti-corruption charter and a 2025 CSR report, and begin transitioning toward mission-driven company status.

  • Clients and partners: deepen our engagement by tracking our activities with clear performance indicators, providing non-financial reporting, and ensuring transparency in our commitments.

Ingetec’s purpose

Introduced in France by the Pacte Law (2019), a company’s “purpose” is a way to reflect on the deeper meaning behind its activities.

At Ingetec, our purpose is to support territorial transformation in order to meet human needs while respecting living ecosystems, addressing environmental challenges, and preserving natural resources.

We believe that a territory shapes the way we live, the way we work, and how our activities impact the environment.

In the face of climate, energy, and ecological challenges, as well as the depletion of natural resources, we believe our territories must be reimagined to adapt our lifestyles and reduce our environmental footprint. That’s why Ingetec’s multidisciplinary team is fully committed to designing more sustainable and resilient regions.

By working closely with our partners, Ingetec is committed to transforming territories while protecting resources to ensure a livable, sustainable future for generations to come.

Our CSR committee

Made up of seven members, our CSR committee is responsible for implementing Ingetec’s action plan throughout the company.
